8 Things that Happen when you have a Cruise Ship (Almost) to yourself. This is uninteresting to me because I don’t go on cruises, because I’m only 15 years old. However, my parents are going on a Virgin cruise to the Bahamas in November, and maybe this would interest them. If you stay during port days, when the boat goes ashore and you can go onto an island, less people are on the ship. There are nice things that happen when there are less people, like less fighting for deck chairs, more quiet spaces, the spas are available more often (A spa sounds great right now), and you’ll even get to watch the crew perform safety drills. However, there are also downsides like limited dining options, fewer onboard activities, and you’ll miss out on the cool place the cruise ship is docked at. I doubt that my parents will want to miss out on going to an island in the Bahamas, but my mom has already been there, and she enjoys relaxing and spending less time with others, so maybe she will want to stay.
